After earning his B.S. in Business Administration from Seton Hall University,
Mr. Carlson began his career as a junior accountant with Pleasantville A&T
Corporation in 1982. Over the next several years, he held a progression of
operating and management positions with increasing responsibility, while earning
his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. |

In 1989, he assisted with the formation of Kaplan, Choate & Company, functioning
thereafter as its chief operating officer with responsibility for all
administrative, accounting, technological, and regulatory compliance matters of
the firm. He was appointed the President of Brandywine Trust Company at its
inception in 1992 and has overseen the company’s growth from its modest
beginnings to its current level. |

Mr. Carlson serves as the Chairman of the Trust Committee, charged with
responsibility for discharge of the Company’s fiduciary duties. |
